• Use lint-free towels or cotton balls to remove makeup or wash around the eyes.
• Wash lashes gently with diluted baby shampoo if they appear dirty.         

What Not to Do

• Showering or swimming immediately. Avoid water for 24-48 hours. Wear swimming goggles if a shower is a necessity.    
• Remove eye makeup with oil-based products. Oils dissolve the glue used to keeps them in place.            
• Apply mascara like usual. Instead, apply it sparingly and only from mid-lash to the ends. If applied to the base it will become clumpy, and pulling on the lashes too much could loosen the extension.        
• Rub at eyes or wipe with a towel to dry, Dabbing at the lashes will prevent damage. 

Eye or sunglass wearers should take them with them when attending an appointment to make it easier to choose a length that will not interfere with the glasses. Most eyeglass wearers benefit from thicker rather than longer extensions. Thicker lenses will be easier for others to see through the lenses and longer lashes might brush against the glass. 

Extensions have many benefits in addition to making the eyes look larger and more flirty. It saves time because the additional length eliminates the need for mascara and the added fullness makes eyeliner unnecessary as well. The extensions not only come in different lengths but a variety of different curls too. This also makes it unnecessary to use an eyelash curler to open up the eyes. It is easy to experiment with different looks since they will shed in cycles like natural lashes.
